Can a PDF be decrypted if I forgot the password?
No. This tool only removes encryption with a known password — there is no way to decrypt without it and no backdoor exists.
How strong is the encryption?
It uses the standard PDF encryption format, compatible with mainstream readers. Actual strength depends on your password, so use a sufficiently long one.
