FAQ
Why did my file barely shrink?
Compression works by re-encoding embedded images. PDFs that are mostly text or vector graphics have little to compress.
Does compression lose image quality?
Yes. Compression re-encodes images lossily. Start with the "Low" level and increase it only if you're not satisfied with the size.
Why can't my file reach the target size?
With a target size, image resolution and quality are lowered automatically until the file fits. Text, vector graphics and fonts can't be compressed, so if they alone exceed the target you'll get the smallest achievable result.
